Food Anatomy @ Tanjong Pagar Centre – Adorable and Delicious Cube-Shaped Food! (PERMANENTLY CLOSED)
When I first saw the adorable food cubes at Food Anatomy in Tanjong Pagar Centre, I was a little skeptical about the concept. Could Nasi Lemak still taste good after it was shaped into a cube? But after I took my first bite, all my doubts were gone and I am now a fan of this awesome bistro. This restaurant is permanently closed.
Delicious Is Not Enough, It Must Also Be Beautiful.

I highly recommend that you order three dishes here. This is because the founders of Food Anatomy intentionally designed each meal to consist of three modular dishes, so that you can sample a wide variety of dishes with your friends.
Delicious Cube-Shaped Food!

The Nasi Lemak was a feast for both my eyes and palate. It was beautifully constructed with egg, coconut rice, otah, and topped off with adorable toppings of chili and ikan bilis. As I took my first bite, I was blown away by its delicious taste. Despite looking more like a piece of art, it tasted like real nasi lemak, with an aromatic and savoury flavour that had me hooked from the first bite. I LOVED it!
The Hainanese Chicken Rice was a nice treat too. The rice had the classic “chicken-rice” fragrance which I enjoyed. The meat was savoury and tender, though the texture was slightly dry.
Last but not least, the Teriyaki Chicken did not disappoint too. The chicken meat was nicely marinated with a nice savoury flavour. Again, it felt like I was eating a piece of art which happened to taste exactly like Teriyaki Chicken.
