Sin Bedok North BBQ Chicken Wing – Sinful But Satisfying BBQ Chicken Wings At Bedok 85 Hawker Centre

During my dinner at Bedok 85 (Fengshan Market), I decided to get some wings from Sin Bedok North BBQ Chicken Wing to complement my mains.

Founded in 1996, Sin Bedok North is known for their juicy and beautifully-charred BBQ chicken wings.

The stall is quite popular so be prepared to wait. I visited the stall at 6.15pm on a Saturday and only got my wings after 35 minutes.

Fortunately, they use a buzzer ordering system so at least I didn’t have to stand in line at the stall.

Menu

Each BBQ chicken wing costs $1.40, and a minimum order of two pieces is required.

Other than wings, the stall also serves Fish Meat Otah ($0.60), Pandang Otah ($1.10) and Nasi Lemak ($1.30).

You may want to check out the Pandang Otah which is wrapped in pandan leaves instead of banana leaves.

BBQ Chicken Wings

The BBQ chicken wings boasted a glistening honey and butter glaze on beautifully charred skin. They were well-marinated with many layers of flavours.

The first sensation was the crisp skin, followed by the tenderness of the meat and the burst of sweet-savoury juices seeping into my mouth.

There was also a pleasant hint of smokiness in every bite.

I squeezed some lime juice onto the wings which added an extra tang. And I did not forget the sweet-feisty chilli sauce which was perfect for dipping the wings with.

The meat had some reddish parts, but that was not a problem for me.

Conclusion

Sin Bedok North BBQ Chicken Wing serves up tender and juicy chicken wings that are sinful but satisfying. They are not the best I’ve had in Singapore, but are certainly above average. If possible, go during non peak hours to avoid the long waiting time.
