10 Tasty Don Don Donki Snacks That Will Cheer You Up During This PCB (Post Circuit Breaker) Period

Don Don Donki sells a wonderful variety of unique and delicious Japanese snacks. While it’s possible to get some of these snacks from other places, I like buying them from Don Don Donki because they are all conveniently located in one location. Below are my 10 favourite snacks from this mega Japanese discount store. This article was last updated on 19 June 2020.

1. Befco Seto Shioage Assorted Rice Crackers ($6.90)

This big packet contains 33 rice crackers in 3 flavours: Salted Seaweed, Shrimp, and Salted Yuzu. This round-shaped cracker is crisp and crunchy to the bite – perfect for munching during breaks at work.

2. Crisp Choco ($1.90)

This is basically pizza-shaped cereal coated with chocolate. It is crispy, sweet, and fragrant. I highly recommend this cheap and delicious snack.

3. Denroku Sukidesu Kita No Aji Rice & Peas Cracker ($5.50)

I finished all the snacks before remembering to take a photo of the wrapper.

Each of the 6 packets in this pack contains an assortment of nuts, peas, and rice crackers. It is tasty but not too salty, which is why I like having it as a light snack between meals.

4. Kamedaseika Tsumamidane Mixed Rice Crackers ($4.50)

This pack also contains 6 packets, each with 10 varieties of crackers such as squid, prawn, soy sauce, seaweed, and peanut. I enjoy eating these crackers because they are very tasty and have strong flavours.

5. Meiji Dark Chocolate 86% ($3.90)

This bittersweet dark chocolate has rich cocoa flavours. It will suit people who do not like overly sweet snacks.

6. Morinaga Gateau Chocolat ($5.50)

Think of this delightful snack as a firm chocolate cake. It turned into a pleasant mush in my mouth as I chewed, with the sweet fragrance of chocolate spreading through my mouth.

7. Morinaga Salted Caramel Chewy Candy ($2.90)

This classic salted caramel candy from Morinaga has been around since 1913. It is a chewy candy with a pleasant blend of salty and sweet flavours.

8. Orihiro Konjac Jelly ($3.90)

Who doesn’t love jelly? These sweet konjac jellies come in small nifty packets that are very convenient to eat – just tear off the top and squeeze the jelly into your mouth. I like eating them chilled. Flavours available include apple, peach, grape and lychee.

9. Tongari Corn Assari-Shio ($3.50)

This delicious corn snack is very addictive. I usually pour them into a big bowl and munch on them while watching Netflix.

10. Umaibo ($5.80)

“Umaibo” or “delicious stick” is a puffed corn stick produced by Riska and sold by Yaokin. It comes in many interesting flavours like mentaiko, takoyaki, cheese, cocoa, caramel, and chocolate.

My favourite is the curry umaibo, which is very crunchy and savoury with a light curry flavour.

This is one of the cheapest snacks in Don Don Donki. Each pack contains 30 sticks, which means each stick costs less than $0.20.
