How to Get To Everland From Seoul – A Step By Step Guide (Update 2020)

This article will explain in detail how to get to Everland from Seoul. Please feel free to leave any questions in the comments section below.

Method 1. By Shuttle Bus Package

If you prefer convenience, the Everland shuttle bus package is the best method for getting to Everland. The bus will bring you directly to Everland and back to Seoul. The Everland ticket is included in the package as well. Remember to use promo code ETWITHKLOOK to enjoy 10% off with a minimum spend of $120.

The bus leaves from three convenient locations within Seoul: Myeongdong Station, Hongik Univ. Station, and Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station.

Step 1. Book your Everland Shuttle Bus Package.
Step 2. Proceed to your boarding location and take the shuttle bus.

Total Journey Time: ~40 minutes
Total Cost: ~KRW51,000 (price inclusive of ticket, fluctuates based on season)

Method 2. By Everland Shuttle Bus

It is also possible to buy the Everland ticket and shuttle bus ticket separately.

The shuttle bus leaves from many locations in Seoul such as Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, Seoul Station, Gangnam, City Hall, Hongdae, etc.

Step 1. Buy your Everland Shuttle Bus ticket (KRW12,000).
Step 2. Proceed to your boarding location and take the bus (40 minutes).
Step 3. Take the free shuttle bus to Everland (5 minutes).

Total Journey Time: ~50 minutes
Total Cost: ~KRW12,000 (fluctuates based on season)

Method 3. By Public Bus

This is a cost-effective method for getting to Everland. However, note that this is a popular bus route with many passengers, and standing is not allowed on the bus.

Therefore, if all the seats are taken you will have to wait 15 minutes for the next bus. I suggest going early to avoid the crowds.

Step 1. Take the subway to Gangnam Station and go out from Exit 5.
– It will take around 35 minutes and cost KRW1,500 if you take the subway from Myeongdong.

Step 2. Take Bus 5002 to the Everland stop.
– The ride will take around 50 minutes.
– The ticket costs about KRW2,500.
– You can pay with cash or the T-money card.
– The bus runs at 15-minute intervals between 6.20am and 11pm.

Step 3. Take the free shuttle bus to Everland (5 minutes).

Total Journey Time: ~90 minutes
Total Cost: ~ KRW4,000

Method 4. By Subway

Taking a subway is the cheapest method, but the journey is very long and requires at least two train transfers.

And if you are travelling during peak hours, the train will be quite crowded. I do not really recommend this method unless you are on a tight budget.

Step 1. Take the subway to Wangsimni Station (around 15 minutes from Myeongdong)
Step 2. From Wangsimni, take the Bundang Line to Giheung (65 minutes)
Step 3. From Giheung, take the EverLine to Jeondae Everland Station and go out from Exit 3 (30 minutes).
Step 4. Take the free shuttle bus to Everland (5 minutes).

Total Journey Time: ~115 minutes
Total Cost: ~KRW2,600

Method 5. By Private Transport

Booking a private car is the most convenient way for getting to Everland, but it is also the most expensive. I recommend this method only if you are travelling in a large group with young children, and do not want to worry about logistics at all.

Step 1. Book your Private Car Charter.
Step 2. Get picked up and dropped off directly at your hotel.

Total Journey Time: ~30 minutes from Myeongdong
Total Cost: ~ KRW155,000

Conclusion

I hope you have found this article on how to get to Everland from Seoul useful. As mentioned earlier, the shuttle bus package (Method 1) is the most convenient way. But if you prefer to save money, taking the public bus 5002 (Method 3) is a decent option too.
