MuYoo+ – Cheese Tea and Fruit Tea Shop With Bakery Serving Brown Sugar Milk, Opens at Jurong Point

The bubble tea craze is really strong in Singapore now, so we were not surprised to see the opening of MuYoo+ at Jurong Point. This shop is known for its iconic “Cheese Cloud” Cheese Teas and refreshing Fruit Teas. Update (21 April 2020): I have checked with them and MuYoo will still remain open under the new Circuit Breaker measures announced today.

MuYoo+

MuYoo opened its first branch at Raffles City in April this year. It has expanded quickly, opening a “plus” concept branch at Bedok Mall in September, followed by a third branch at Jurong Point in November.

The original Muyoo branch at Raffles City only sells drinks, while the MuYoo+ branches at Bedok Mall and Jurong Point each has a bakery too.

MuYoo is owned by a Singaporean duo who, according to the company’s website, were “inspired” by the brand’s Shanghai-based namesake.

The shop’s signature “Cheese Cloud” is said to be made with all natural ingredients: milk powder from New Zealand, pure cheese powder from Holland, and sea salt from Bolivia.

Therefore, Muyoo claims that its cheese tea are healthier than other versions, which typically use artificial creamer containing trans fats and artificial flavourings.

Taiwan Spring Tea

Taiwan Spring Tea ($3.90) is a cheese tea that comes with Muyoo’s signature Cheese Cloud. The MuYoo+ Jurong Point staff recommended us this drink when we told her we wanted a tea with a lighter flavour. We added Brown Sugar Pearls ($1) as well.

We took a sip of the tea first before mixing in the cheese, and it was indeed quite light and refreshing. After mixing with the Cheese Cloud, the drink became much richer with a delicious savoury and creamy flavour. This drink will definitely appeal to the cheese tea lovers.

Snow in a Cup

We also ordered the Snow in a Cup ($4.50), which is a white grape fruit smoothie. This is NOT a tea drink.

I really enjoyed this refreshing drink which had the pleasant sweet taste of grapes. This was the perfect post-dinner drink to wash down all the greasy food I ate earlier.

And I love its poetic name too!

Bakery

As mentioned earlier, MuYoo+ Jurong Point has a bakery too. It sells over 30 types of breads which are baked using natural ingredients with no additives. Many of the breads have interesting and colourful designs.

We were impressed by the large variety of breads! Some of the interesting ones include Salted Egg Lava, Black Pepper Crabby, Oootah, Mini Strawbery Rainbow Wand, and many more.

Conclusion

Brown sugar fans can check out the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with Pearls ($3.90). We will try this drink soon and update this article with our review. It seems that bubble tea shops are opening every other day in Singapore nowadays, but MuYoo+ Jurong Point manages to stand out with its healthier version of cheese teas, refreshing fruit teas, and interesting varieties of breads. We are happy to have chanced upon this shop!
