This is a list of wedding solemnizers based on research during our wedding! It is arranged in alphabetical order. It is important to contact your preferred wedding solemnizer early (at least six months in advance) because their schedules are usually extremely packed. We went with Mr Francis Ng Chin Fah as our Justice of Peace (JP) and he was wonderful! Continue reading
It is very important to get a good wedding florist, because the floral arrangements can significantly affect the overall look of your wedding venue. Our wedding florist was Jessica Lee from CC Lee Design, and she did an amazing job with our flowers in the The St. Regis Ballroom! Continue reading
For our wedding invitation cards, we went with the vendor American Wedding Treasures (AWT). This is a reputable local company that was established in 1993. Their main wedding products are Wedding Invitations, Wedding Favors, and Ribbons. Continue reading
Penelope is a rustic cafe in Manhattan (New York City) that serves satisfying comfort food. We dropped by on a early Thursday morning, and it was the perfect way to start the day. Continue reading
To achieve your dream wedding-look, it is super important is to get the perfect hairstyle and makeup. Therefore, before my wedding, I looked through the portfolios of LOTS of makeup artists before finally deciding on Cynderella by Cynthia Oh. It turned out to be a wonderful decision because I simply LOVED my hair and makeup on my wedding day! Continue reading
Every Chinese couple in Singapore knows that they need to buy and exchange Guo Da Li (Betrothal) gifts before their actual wedding day. Evan and I exchanged the gifts about one month before our wedding. Out of the many shops we visited, Yuan Xi Wedding & Gifts at Chinatown Complex had the best prices by far. The service was great too! Continue reading
It was 7am on a Thursday morning and I woke up to the pleasant sound of my phone alarm. I looked out of the window and saw raindrops pitter-pattering on the window pane. But the rainy New York City weather did not dampen my mood at all. Still feeling excited, I sprung out of bed to start washing up. No, nothing could dampen my mood today, because we were going on a FULL DAY SHOPPING TRIP to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets! Continue reading
As you might know, Evan and I recently went on a two week honeymoon to USA and Canada. Whenever we travel, we simply need to stay connected to the Internet. Due to the nature of our jobs, we need internet connectivity to check important emails on the go. We also need to inform family members of our whereabouts, and update our adventures on social media anytime, anywhere. This time round, we decided to use the iVideo Pocket Wifi for our trip. It turned out to be cheaper, more convenient and reliable than what we had expected! Here’s our review of this device. Continue reading
During our visit to Toronto recently, we visited the Eggspectation branch at Bell Trinity Square in downtown Toronto. It offers awesome Western food in a stylish setting. This popular bistro originated from Montreal in 1993 and has now expanded to other parts of Cananda, India, the U.S., Qatar, and Dubai. Looking at the menu, I learnt that the bistro is famous for its delicious egg benedicts. Continue reading
It was a nice cool day in Brooklyn and we were on our way to Grimaldi’s, a pizzeria under Brooklyn Bridge that is famous for its pizzas baked in a brick oven using coal fire. This traditional method gives the pizza a unique smoky flavour that is popular with many New Yorkers. Continue reading

Ao Nang (Krabi) is a rustic beach destination in the Krabi province of Thailand that provides the ideal balance between convenience and lifestyle. It is easily accessible; and with the gradual over-commercialization of Phuket and Koh Samui, more people are choosing Ao Nang Krabi instead as their idyllic beach getaway.
Evan and I enjoyed our short holiday here very much. It was a nice getaway to help us de-stress from the hectic pace of city life and revel in the beautiful beaches of Ao Nang Krabi. Therefore, we hope that this travel guide will help you to enjoy Ao Nang as much as we did.
This is a guide for travelers, by travelers. Continue reading
Maafushi is a local island in Maldives that has beautiful beaches, plenty of fun activities, and lots of good food. While it might not be as luxurious as exclusive resort islands, it does provide interesting insights into the local culture. Maafushi is also very accessible; it can be reached in 40 minutes by speedboat from Male Airport. Evan and I had a short vacation here after our wedding. We understand that it is quite tedious to plan a holiday, therefore we have come up with this guide to make life easier for other people who are planning a trip to Maafushi. This is a guide for travelers, by travelers. Continue reading
Maafushi Island is a very small island that measures around just 1.3km in length and 0.3km in width. Therefore, no matter where you stay on the island, it is still within walking distance to the beautiful beaches. Continue reading
There are lots of nice places to eat in Maafushi Island, which was great for us because we always felt famished after all the awesome beach and sea activities in Maafushi. During our stay on this alluring local island, we visited various restaurants. Below are our six favourites, arranged in alphabetical order. Do note that the restaurants charge 12% GST and 10% service charge on top of the listed price. Continue reading
Maafushi Island is an idyllic local island located in the South Male Atoll of Maldives. It is extremely easy to get to this island. First, you would need to take a flight to Male International Airport (also known as Velana International Airport) on Hulhule Island. The airport was previously known as Ibrahim Nasir International Airport. From the airport, there are two ways to get to Maafushi Island: by Ferry Service or Speedboat. Personally, we prefer the speedboat because it is a lot faster and there are more timings available. However, the ferry service is a lot cheaper.
Your wedding day is approaching and it is about time to start giving out wedding invitation cards! However, you haven’t started to design the cards yet and you are feeling pretty stressed out because there’s a ton of other things to do for the wedding. This was how I felt when Evan and I were coming up with our wedding cards, but we have survived to tell the tale. Continue reading
Savis Food is now located at Marina Food House along Phillip Street, offering fusion Western food with elements of Asian cuisines. This is a popular lunch area for office workers in the surrounding CBD, and we were curious to see if Savis Food would stand out from the numerous eateries in the vicinity. Continue reading
Recently, we discovered Kushiya, a hidden gem at Westgate that serves awesome charcoal-grilled Japanese skewers. It may not be the most prominent eatery on the level, but its modest shopfront belies the delicious food that it has to offer. Continue reading
