Our Fairy Tale Wedding at The St. Regis Singapore (John Jacob Ballroom)

We stood outside the John Jacob Ballroom at The St. Regis Singapore, bracing ourselves for the first wedding march-in. I felt Raevian tightening her hand around my arm. I put my hand over hers, and told her in the most reassuring tone I could muster:

“It will be all right dear. Just breathe.”

The march-in song started playing, and a short while later the hefty doors slowly opened to bright white lights, wispy smoke, and silhouettes of our guests giving a standing ovation. I could feel my heart beating really fast now. After months of preparation, this moment had finally arrived.

LiHO Jurong Point – Our Verdicts of their Signature Cheese Teas

These are exciting times for the bubble tea scene in Singapore. First, RTG Holdings announced that it will be changing all their Gong Cha outlets into LiHO outlets, due to contractual issues with Unison Capital, the Gong Cha franchise’s parent company. Then, Unison Capital retaliated with a counter jab of sorts, announcing that the Gong Cha brand would be returning to Singapore soon in a “bigger, better, upgraded format”.

This may be an interesting bubble tea saga, but at the end of the day we are much more concerned with whether the bubble tea still taste good – regardless of whether it’s called Gong Cha or LiHO or BuayHO. We tried out some of the LiHO drinks, and here’s our verdicts. Read more

The Private Room – Singapore Airlines’ Elite Lounge for First Class Passengers!

I stared blankly at the golden pass in my hand. This was literally the golden ticket that would grant me access to The Private Room, Singapore Airlines’ elite lounge for its Suites and First Class passengers. I had anticipated this moment for so long, but now that it was really happening, I wasn’t quite sure what to feel. And so I turned to Raevian with a sheepish smile and said: “The ticket looks very atas hor.”
